Silent T Acres Barnwood Furnishings was born from a deep respect for the land and the materials it gives us. Nestled in the quiet rural landscape of Lohman, Missouri, our workshop is a place where weathered barnwood is transformed into functional art.
Each board we use carries decades — sometimes over a century — of history. These are woods from structures that stood through storms, seasons, and the steady passage of time. We source them with care, restoring their character while building pieces that belong in your home today.

Source the Wood
We travel throughout central Missouri seeking out old barns, outbuildings, and structures being carefully deconstructed. Every board is hand-selected for character, stability, and story.
Mill & Prepare
Back in the shop, each board is inspected, milled, and dried to the right moisture content. Old nails are removed, surfaces are cleaned, and the natural beauty of the wood is revealed.
Design & Build
Working with you or on our own designs, we build each piece using traditional joinery and solid construction. No shortcuts — just careful, honest craftsmanship.
Finish & Deliver
A hand-applied finish protects the wood while enhancing its natural color. Your piece is inspected, prepared for transport, and delivered ready to enjoy in your home.
